Will Sinclair’s Sean McNeil take Dayton Flyers scholarship spot opened by Jordan Davis transfer?

After 53 starts over two seasons, sophomore guard Jordan Davis announced that he will transfer from the University of Dayton.

A 6-foot-2 guard from South Carolina, Davis started 32 of the Flyers’ 33 games this season and scored 572 points in his UD career. He averaged 9.8 points per game as a sophomore.

Davis committed to the school in 2016, selecting Dayton over Butler and Kansas State. His next destination is uncertain, but the vacancy opens a scholarship for the Flyers. Highly touted Sinclair Community College guard Sean McNeil trimmed his list of preferred schools to six last week, including UD. Perhaps the spot will attract the 6-foot-4 sharpshooter who Tweeted:

The UD roster had been full after it was learned that 6-foot-9 forward Chase Johnson would transfer from the University of Florida and have three years of eligibility remaining, starting in the 2019-2020 season.
